The new 'Nessie' photograph is interesting. It was taken by an anonymous sceptikwhilst hiking from Fort Augustus to Invermoriston The witness, a man from Inverness was at an elevated angle that gave him a good view of the water's surface. The witness claims to have seen a long, thin, dark object moving through the water. At first lit looks like a boat wake. These can bounce off the narrow sides of the Loch and form hump like ripples lasting long after the vessle has vanished from view. These are a cause of many supposed sigtings. However the object is seeming to bisect the waves on the Loch. It could be a piece of debris such as a large branch or a log being pulled against the prevailing wind by an undercurrent. This phenomena is also blamed for many 'Nessie sightings'. There is also a chance it could be something animate. The witness claimed he saw fins on either side of the object. It could be a very large eel swimming close to the surface.
